Nagy, Jeanie  Martz   ('70)   -    Hello to all Bulldog alums!

I married my high school sweetheart and best friend, Scott
Martz 30 years ago...my how time flies!  We have two
children, Valerie 29, and Shaun 21.

I am employed as Program Manager, Employer Relations for
The Career Center at The University of Notre Dame.

Really looking forward to sharing wonderful memories with
many classmates and making new ones at the reunion.  See
you there!
Nagy, Joanie M. Snyder  ('70)   -    After graduating from
Riley High I traveled the U.S. and thereafter was employed in
the legal field.  Married Lee Snyder in '88 and have three
children -- 9 years; 12 years and 13 years.  So hey Phil Nowak
-- you're not the only old parent.  Started a
nursery/greenhouse business in 2001 located on my
property in Bremen. It's growing fast -- so between the
children; business; property and dogs (a sheltie and
newfoundland) I keep very busy.  I glanced at our '70 class
picture and we sure look like a bunch of schmucks:)  Went to
our OLH class reunion years ago and had a blast -- will be
good to see people together for a great time -- usually we
see you at funerals or weddings.
Nagy, Marian  (Hintz)   ('68)  -   After graduating from RHS I

group of internal medicine doctors. I'm looking forward to
the reunion.

CA, which we get to visit quite often!!  I've been a nurse for
the past 34 years, presently working as a Practice Manager
at the SBC.  Looking forward to the reunion and sharing all
our   stories. (pounding sound on the radiator when we
were taking a test-Doug and Gene in trouble again!!  Our
volleyball games, cheerleading, the fire escape!)

Nemeth, Joe   ('69)   -     From the class of "69", I am one of
the SMART (dumb) ones, along with Mike Nowak (mouse),
Melanie
Stuglik (Mel), Richard Deka (RD), Steve Grumwald (rat), Gary
Kovatch (carrot), Joesph Sgambelurri (scambo) who still live
in the old neighborhood. Believe me, its not what it used to
be. I have not seen any South Side Jokers hanging out at the
flagpole corner or any kids playing wiffle ball behind the
school in years. Oh times they are a changin'.
Oh what I wouldn't give to put on that Our Lady Bulldog
football uniform one more time and play for coach Joe
Deranick. He was the best and most respected coach I ever
had. Oh well, enough about "Living in the past".
I have been married for 27 years to Margie Hurley
(Washington HS, Class of '75). We have 2 kids, Beth is 23 and
JoJo is 22 and can run faster than me, but still cant beat me in
golf. We have an month old grand-daughter, Chloe Nicole,
who lives with us. I still can't get over being a "G" daddy. See
you all at the reunion. Go dogs!!!
P.S. Current picture....I don't think so, I wouldn't wish that on
my worst enemy (the Oliver School kids). The best I could do
is this 1976 (hippy years) one.
Nemeth, Ken  Class of 1963 -   Married in 1972.  Wife Judy.

Bermuda (2 yrs), Spain (3.5 yrs), Hawaii (2.5 yrs), California
(2.5 yrs), Washington DC (1 yr).  During this time I worked as
an Electronic Technician for NASA.  We tracked manned and
unmanned satellites both orbiting the earth and on the moon.
We returned to South Bend in 1981. Since 1981 we have live
in South Bend and I have worked as a CO2 Laser Cutting,
Welding and Scribing Engineer for Bendix (Honeywell now).
Judy is currently an RN at SJRMC.
Nemeth, Mary Biberstine  ('66)  -    I’m married with 2
children and 3 step children. I am very, very fortunate to have
my health, a wonderful husband and terrific kids. I’ve been
working in the same building for the last 35 yrs. I’m a nurse at
Memorial Hospital.  I have done a lot of traveling  (some of
which included visiting my brother Ken in his many travels
with my sister Shirley)  In my later years I learned how to snow
ski. I love to ballroom dance. To think it all began many, many
years ago at the Harvest Dance. Who would have thought???
I started out in the class of 1965 and somewhere in the 4th
grade landed up the class of 1966.  I have lots of memories
from both classes and look forward to seeing everyone who
can make it.  These are just of few of my found memories: Art
class always ended the school week. I was too frightened to
go down the lowest level of the fire escape till I was older
and braver.  Cleaning the blackboards and clapping erasers
always resulted in white chalk on my dark navy uniform. And
who can forget kneeling in the halls, with the nuns making
sure the skirts were touching the floor (by the end of the day
everyone’s skirts were rolled up short again.) I’ll see you
soon.
Nemeth, Nancy Smith  ('59)   -   I have a brother Bill, that
graduated in 1957. We both attended Our Lady from
kindergarten to grade 8. Bill now lives in Atlanta, Ga.  I
have 2 sons that are grown. My married son lives in
Breman with his wife and my 2 grandchildren. My oldest
son is single and lives in Florida. I also have a younger
sister Shirley. She and her family live in South Bend. We
were 3 fortunate children, because we had parents that
gave us a loving home and a very stable life. My parents
passed away after 54 years of marriage.  I am a Business
Education and Family Consumer Science teacher at
Mishawaka High School. I attended Riley for 2 years, my
parents moved, so I then graduated from St. Joe I
graduated from Western Michigan University in 1967.
Nemeth, Shirley Czerna  ('67)   -   The good old days! I
have many fond memories of my childhood, and attending
Our Lady was one of them – First Holy Communion, the May
Crowning, eating breakfast in class after daily Mass,
playing red-rover at recess on the church parking lot, and
of course, driving the nuns crazy. I’m now creating new
memories – raising 2 beautiful daughters, entertaining my
adorable 2-year-old granddaughter, and working an
interesting job with the Michiana Area Council of
Governments (MACOG) for the past 18 years. I am eager to
recall old memories with old friends.
Nowak, Mark  ('62)  It’s about time! Many of us talked about
doing something like this and I am glad this is happening.  I
hope all who live in South Bend and the surrounding area
attend.  My wife and I are traveling all the way from Maine.
Thank you to those who worked so hard in putting this all
together.
After graduating from Riley, I spent the next 30 years in the
U.S. Navy and retired in Topsham, Maine.  I am married to a
wonderful woman, Debby, and have four children and two
grandchildren.  I am presently working for a great company
called LL Bean as the security/fire safety supervisor.  Deb
and I are avid runners, and we have run many marathons. I
have been able to compete in the Boston Marathon twice.  I
also obtained my goal to run 50 miles on my 50th birthday.   I
am still involved in wrestling and coach our local high
school wrestling team.
Nowak, Mike  ('69)   -   Married fellow classmate melanie
stuglik in 1975. Intrests include notre dame football
collectables, woodworking, home improvement, swimming
and making and painting crafts. I am employed by the south
bend community school corp. for 27 years as a painter.
Nowak, Phil ('70)  -    I married a 1974 graduate of OLH,
Annie Kaczmarczyk. We have two sons, Phil - 24 and Aaron
- 22. After a break of 13 years, we decided, hey, this isn't so
tough, let's have a couple more. So we did. Christian is 9
and Sammy is 7. And yes, they do keep you young!
Nowinski, Mary Sue Cross (‘73)   -   Thinking back on my
school years, I definitely enjoyed my grade school years
the best.  We were all so close, and I have so many fond
memories of all the fun times we had in, and out of class.  I
graduated from Marian High School, married too young,
divorced in ’89, and married a terrific man in ’92.  We have
been married for 14 wonderful years!!! My husband Rick
and I met at Curtis Products, where I have worked for 22
years in various capacities, such as Production Control,
Customer Service and Receptionist.  Rick will have 35
years in December and is Manager of Quality Assurance.
In addition, we developed a subdivision called White Pine
Trail, located off of Grant Road.  Rick, is also, a Realtor with
Home Gallery Realtors, and a Sales Agent for Cleland
Homes. In our spare time, we enjoy traveling, and
especially cruising, whenever possible.  We do manage to
find more time for ourselves, now that the kids are gone.
My son Justin is in the Air Force and is a Crew Chief on the
F15 Fighter Jets.  He is stationed at Eglin AFB, which is
located near Fort Walton Beach, Florida.  He enlisted right
after he graduated from Marian High School in 2004.  My
stepdaughter Michelle manages the Ultra Sound
Department at St. Mary’s Hospital in Virginia.   She’s been
in the medical field for about 10 years, and really enjoys it.
We are very proud of both of them!  Looking forward to
seeing everyone at the reunion.

Nyers, Charles J. ('68) -  It will be an enjoyable experience
to see some of the old gang again and remember some of
the good old days.
Frances Nyers Miller   ('63)   -     I've so enjoyed reading all
the information on the OLH reunion website and regret that
I can't come and share in the fun.  I'm really hoping that the
event turns out to be such a huge success that another
one is held next year--I'll definitely be there if it is.  As for
my bio, my husband Gary and I have been married for 36
years.  We have one daughter, Julie, who will be getting
married this fall (part of the reason I can't get into town this
time). Work-wise, I'm currently helping Julie and her fiance
with their internet business.  After teaching English
Composition at an Ann Arbor community college for the last
13 years, I was ready for a break from grading essays. I've
enjoyed having real "free time" this year, but I do miss the
students and the teaching process and am considering
going back part time.  Enough bio--you all have a wonderful
time!  Hello to everyone, especially my brother Chuck, who
told me about this site.  Hope it's kept up afterwards.  It's b!
een really nice learning what everyone is doing.

Nagy, David   ('59)

“What a great web site. Many thanks to those responsible. It has bought back a lot of wonderful memories of my "life forming" years. My fondest memories are the chocolate milk in the small glass bottles accompanied by sugar doughnuts after First Friday Communions and fire drills down the circular, two story fire escape. Also, who could forget dodge ball on the asphalt playground behind the school? After graduating from Washington High School I went on to Purdue and received an Engineering degree. I then worked in the manufacturing industry for the next 40 years living in North Carolina and Virginia before returning to South Bend in 1987. The first place I visited upon returning was Our Lady of Hungry. I married a great lady (Beverly) in 1970. We have four children (1 boy & 3 girls) and 13 grandchildren. Beverly and I are now retired living on Shavehead Lake, Union, Michigan. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the 2009 reunion.”
