Mangum, Coleen ('66) -  My Our Lady memories include the
daily walks to school in all weather conditions. I especially
loved the rainy days. My class had over 50 students in it. I
remember recesses where I wanted to play marbles with the
boys or jump rope with the girls. I also remember games of Red
Rover. I remember many choir practices and Mr. Budinski
playing the organ. We were in the basement practicing choir
the day John F. Kennedy was assassinated. I loved our school
uniforms and volleyball practices/games.
Mangum, Garrett   ('67)   -   I am the proud father of two
childern, Casey who is 22  and Molly who is 26 and just
produced my first grandchild Jackson 7# 14oz. I am currently in
the middle of a divorce from a marriage of 30 years. I am a
builder of custom homes and live in Bloomington Ind. with my
son. Casey is the Joy of my life and his happiness means the
world too me. As the father of a high functioning Autisic male
life isn't easy but the rewards are far greater than I could ever
envision.  I'll be very happy to see my old friends and share
stories of OLH.
Mangum, Valeen  ('65)   -   It will be fun to see new faces on old
names!  I'm looking forward to the reconnections. After Our
Lady, I attended Marian High School with many of you. I worked
for First Bank & Trust in South Bend after high school
graduation, and married John Boosi, Class of 62. We moved to
Saginaw for 2 years, then Kalamazoo MI where I have lived
since 1977. We had three children, Erica who died of SIDS, and
Brian and Maigan, now 24 and 21. We divorced after 25 years,
and I am now married to John Dalton, and am enjoying being
Stepmom to Jenni-21 and Meaghan-16. I have worked for
Borgess Visiting Nurse & Hospice for 29 years, in Finance and
Administration. We live in Portage, Michigan and plan to retire
to Empire Michigan, where John's family have settled along
South Bar Lake, having summered in Empire for 40+ years. My
email address is zilchzee@yahoo.com, and would welcome
hearing from former classmates. My memories of OLH include
playing volleyball in the parking lot by the church, with the
boys constantly stealing the ball, sloppy joe hot lunches,
attending church in the mornings wearing a beret instead of a
beanie, and being on the volleyball team. There is much I have
forgotten, and I look forward to sharing recollections with
former classmates.  Memories will flood back I am sure.
Mauro, Carmella Laderer   ('64)   -    There are so many
names I recognize from way back when.   How quickly time
flies.  I have been happily married for 25 years to a wonderful
man.  I have 2 step daughters and 4 grandchildren with twin
boys due in September.  My husbsnd (Lew) and I split our
time between South Bend and Melbourne, FL.  We are snow
birds and spend 4 months during the winter in our home in
Florida.  I am very active in volunteering and substitute
teaching.  I'm sorry I won't make the reunion, but say a
heartfelt hello to everyone.
Mauro, Frank A.  ('59)   -    What an impact OLH must have had
to have this many people respond after all these years.  Great
job.  After OLH I spent 5 1/2 years in the seminary before I left
and went to Purdue and graduated as an Electrical Engineer.  I
married a wonderful lady who is still my wife after 37 years.  We
live in Dayton, Ohio where I work as an Engineer in the
Construction Industry.  We have 3 children (two daughters and
one son) and two grandchildren.  I hope to be able to
communicate with people from our class.
 email me at:
Thomas A. Mauro    ('55)   -     First of all, a great big thank
you to all of you how put so much time into this venture.
When I gracefully bowed out of the seminary in my senior year
of college, I began a teaching career at St. Patrick's school in
South Bend.  I den went back to college to get my certifaction
to teach in the public school system.
After teaching for a year at LaSalle High School, I took a
teaching position at DeWitt High School located north of
Lansing.  Frank Deak invited me to teach there.  I'm now
retired and live there.
My wife's name it Therese and we have three children, Anne
33, John 30 and Mary 26.  They are all teachers.  Two live in
Grand Rapids and John lives and teaches in Grand Haven.
I'll never be able to repay the good sisters and priests who
taught us.  The reunion is a way of showing the apprication we
owe these great teachers. My Mother is in the picture of the
reunion on this website, and I know that it was her last great
adventure before she died.  So people, thank you for this one.

McLain, Bob ('65) -   Boy O' Boy.... has it been a long time.
Looking over the list of folks planning on attending the
reunion, I am really looking forward to August.  After Marian, I
attended Holy Cross Junior College and IUSB. In 1973, I married
Cindy Tompos (a St. Matt's girl)and worked for the Torrington
Company till 1982. When the plant closed I enlisted in the Army.
(at age 31) In December 2002, I retired from Uncle Sam's Army
and presently work for the "News-Enterprise" newspaper  in
Elizabethtown, KY. Cindy works for the Army Recruiting
Command here at Ft. Knox, so we made our home here till she
retires.  However, we still own a home in South Bend. Our two
son's Joe & Rob, both live in Indianapolis raising our 5
grandbabies. (3 boys & 2 girls) Will see you folks in August and
catch up on the rest of the news.
